The 2016 Shipping Forecast signals a broadly buoyant outlook

Now in its seventh year, the Lighthouse’s annual New World Talent Survey has once again helped us to understand the opinions, views and inner-thoughts of our industry’s leading lights. With over 600 C-suite level contributors, the findings were released at Café de Paris, on an evening packed full with the great and good from the media and advertising industry.

As well as our annual temperature check on the industry, the research also sought to gauge opinion on three key themes that we have observed over the past 12 months:

While 70% state procurement demands as having the greatest impact on account shifts, human traits and the ability to relate have the biggest impact on relationships

Hybrid skills remain most in demand for our leaders and their reports – while headhunters trump internal talent teams when sourcing new leaders

To deliver peak performance, our leaders are looking for a balance between cognitions and emotions – many companies look after the former, while our leaders would like more coaching, therapy and flexibility.
