Chris Forrester, the managing director of Primesight, is set to join Spotify as the music streaming giant’s UK Managing Director.
After a four year stint at the outdoor media company, Chris will take the reins and lead the UK operations reporting to Jonathan Forster the EMEA VP of Sales. Earlier this year, Spotify announced it had hit 30 million subscribers, which would suggest it has close to 70 million users who use the ad-funded free service.
Chris will be charged with building on this momentum on the recent step change in the digital audio commercial market as well as building on Spotify’s nascent programmatic offering, which launched last year, and its video advertising opportunities.
Prior to taking up the MD role at Primesight, Chris was the firm’s commercial director for three years. He started his career in newspaper sales at Guardian News & Media and Trinity Mirror, before moving into outdoor, working first at CBS Outdoor (now Exterion Media) and then at Digicom and Amscreen, Lord Sugar’s digital screen company.
